The training hill at Bakkatun by Bømoen is the club’s regular practice area for students and pilots. It is used for ground handling, basic training and low training hops.
- Location: Bømoen / Bakkatun, by Voss Skydiving Club.
- Purpose: Courses and independent practice outside course sessions.
- Season: Spring, summer and autumn. Take particular care during the growing season.
¶ Use and respect for landowners
The club has a long-standing agreement with local landowners. Follow these rules:
- Grass and mowing: The hill may be used freely when the grass is short or freshly cut. Activity is restricted when the grass is high before mowing. If unsure, contact the club manager at malene@vosshpk.no.
- Areas: The main hill, marked A, is the regular practice area, subject to growing-season restrictions. Areas B, C and D may only be used with prior agreement, for example during a course.
- Parking and access: Do not park in farmyards or drive or park on the gravel road. Park in the designated area by Voss Skydiving Club and walk to the hill.
- Leave no trace: Take away rubbish, tape, plastic and lines. Leave the site clean.
The hill is near the clubhouse at Bømoen, Flyplassvegen 135. The club stores training equipment there and holds theory sessions.
